Chapter 7: Obsession Unveiled
As time went on, Jae-ho’s suspicions about Arson only grew. They were now twenty years old, and despite how well they got along, there was an undeniable tension that lingered whenever Jae-ho interacted with others.
Arson’s reactions were becoming more extreme, his expression hardening into something close to rage when someone so much as smiled at Jae-ho.
Jae-ho, oblivious to Arson's deeper feelings, tried to carry on as usual. He would laugh with classmates, make new friends, and talk casually with others.
But each time he did, he could feel Arson’s gaze burning into him, watching every move. It wasn’t just protectiveness anymore; it was possessiveness.
One evening, as they lay in bed together like they always had, Jae-ho decided to confront him.
"Arson, is something wrong?" he asked softly, turning to face him.
Arson didn’t respond at first, his sharp eyes fixed on the ceiling. His bangs fell into his face, shadowing his expression. After a long pause, he finally spoke, his voice low and dangerous.
"Why do you need to talk to other people?"
Jae-ho blinked, taken aback. "What do you mean? They’re just friends."
Arson’s eyes flicked to Jae-ho, cold and unyielding.
"You don’t need anyone else. You have me."
The words sent a chill down Jae-ho’s spine. He had never heard Arson speak like this before, with such intensity. "Arson, we’ve always been together.
But that doesn’t mean I can’t have other friends."
Arson’s hand shot out, gripping Jae-ho’s wrist tightly. His gaze was fierce, his possessiveness now out in the open.
"You’re mine, Jae-ho,"
he said, his voice dangerously low.
"Don’t forget that."
Jae-ho’s heart raced as he stared into Arson’s eyes, the intensity of his emotions overwhelming.
What was happening between them? Was this really just friendship, or was there something more beneath the surface?
(To be continued...)
