The kiss felt like a wildfire igniting deep within Lucas, consuming everything in its path. He was lost, utterly swept away by the intensity of Ethan’s desire and the way his body responded, aching for more. Lucas knew he should pull away, regain control, but the heat of the moment made that thought feel impossibly distant.
Ethan pulled back again, his eyes dark with lust, taking a moment to study Lucas’s flushed face. “You like this,” he said, a smug satisfaction lacing his voice.
Lucas swallowed hard, trying to regain his composure. “I shouldn’t be doing this,” he admitted, his heart racing as he glanced around, suddenly aware of their surroundings. The gallery felt eerily quiet, the faint sounds of the city outside muffled by the walls.
“Why not?” Ethan challenged, stepping closer again, forcing Lucas to back up until he hit the wall. “You’ve wanted this, haven’t you? You’ve felt it—the connection, the pull between us.”
Lucas hesitated, his mind racing. “I don’t even know you,” he said weakly, but the truth was, he felt like he did. Ethan was the embodiment of everything Lucas desired yet feared. The rawness of their connection threatened to unravel him, but the thrill of surrendering to it was intoxicating.
Ethan leaned in closer, his lips brushing against Lucas’s ear. “You know me better than anyone else ever has,” he whispered, his breath hot against Lucas’s skin. “I see you, Lucas. Every part of you. The darkness, the light. You’re an open book, and I want to read every page.”
Lucas felt a shiver run down his spine, and he couldn’t deny the truth in Ethan’s words. He’d poured so much of himself into his art, and Ethan had seen through the layers, revealing the man beneath the facade. But surrendering to that vulnerability terrified him.
“What if I don’t want to be read?” Lucas managed to say, his voice trembling as he fought the overwhelming urge to give in.
Ethan stepped back slightly, his expression shifting to something more serious, almost contemplative. “Then I’ll have to make you want it,” he said softly, his voice deep and rich. “Because once you let me in, there’s no turning back.”
Lucas’s heart raced at the promise in Ethan’s words, and he felt himself teetering on the edge of a precipice, caught between fear and an exhilarating sense of freedom. “And what happens when it gets too deep?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan’s eyes darkened further, a mix of desire and something more primal dancing within them. “That’s the thrill, isn’t it? The uncertainty. You can’t experience true pleasure without embracing the risk of pain.”
Lucas felt the weight of Ethan’s gaze, the intensity pulling him in, urging him to take the leap. He could feel the tension in the air thickening, every moment stretching out as they stood there, two souls caught in a dangerous game.
“What if I fall?” Lucas asked, his heart pounding in his chest, vulnerability lacing his words.
“Then I’ll be there to catch you,” Ethan promised, his voice a low growl that sent heat coursing through Lucas’s veins.
Before Lucas could respond, Ethan was upon him again, capturing his lips with a fierce urgency. This kiss was deeper, more demanding, and Lucas felt himself surrender completely, melting against Ethan as their bodies pressed together.
Ethan’s hands roamed over Lucas’s back, exploring every curve, igniting every nerve ending. Lucas’s world narrowed to the two of them, the overwhelming desire surging through him, pulling him further into Ethan’s orbit.
As they kissed, Lucas felt the threads of his carefully constructed defenses unraveling, the walls he’d built around himself slowly crumbling. And in that moment, he didn’t care. He wanted to feel everything—every rush of adrenaline, every heartbeat, every thrill that came with losing himself in Ethan.
Ethan pulled back slightly, searching Lucas’s eyes for a sign, a hint of hesitation. But all he found was a burning desire reflected back at him.
“Are you ready?” Ethan asked, his voice thick with promise and urgency.
Lucas’s heart raced, but he nodded, the fear falling away, replaced by an overwhelming need to dive into the depths of this wild, uncharted territory.
“Then let’s explore,” Ethan said, a smirk playing on his lips before he captured Lucas’s mouth once more, sealing their fate.
